Many of our members will be protesting again in Union at the corner of Hwy 47 and Hwy 50 this evening. Twelve of you showed up last Friday, and many others have said you would be there tonight. Again bring a sign or flag if possible. After speaking with the city administrator and local law inforcement, Wanda passes this information along. See below:
- Park in the “commuter area” of the 1st Baptist Church parking lot next door to Walgreen’s. Do not park at Walgreen’s.
- Do not gather in Walgreen’s parking lot.
- Walk on grassy area from church to corner.
- Maintain decorum at all times. Union Police felt that shouting was distracting to traffic and might cause an accident. They are just concerned about potential injury to distracted motorists and injury to us.
- If anyone tries to begin confrontation with us, do not argue or be pulled into discussion with them. Walk away.
