We have two very important events coming up in the month of October. The details of each are below. Please make plans to attend each if at all possible. We would also ask that you take a few moments to register for the events so that we can ensure that we have adequate seating for everyone.
Organizing to Expand
Date: Thursday, October 8th
Time: 7:00pm (Meet & Greet from 6:00-7:00)
Location: Franklin County Baptist Association Gymnasium (Located on Hwy 47, about 2.5 miles south of Hwy 50)
The Franklin County Patriots has grown at an incredible rate over the past few months. In order for us to maintain this growth, both in numbers and in effectiveness, we are going to need more individuals to personally get involved.
At this meeting we will be laying out specific areas of need within our organization. We realize that not everyone is able to put in the kind of hours necessary to help plan and organize events and meetings. This very important meeting will be for those who are willing to commit themselves to being a part of this endeavor.
We will be putting plans together for protesting in the five regions of the county. For those who have inquired about starting Patriot organizations in surrounding counties, we will be discussing this possibility as well. We will also discuss our need to develop a larger group of phone callers in each region to contact those who do not have e-mail.
If you are interested in getting seriously involved with the Franklin County Patriots, please make every effort to attend. We would also encourage you to try to be there early for some fellowship with other area patriots. We will spend 6:00pm-7:00pm getting to know one another a little better.
Please register here to ensure that we have adequate seating.
BASIC TRAINING FOR ACTIVISTS
Date: Saturday, October 24th
Time: 10:00am (Meet & Greet from 9:00-10:00)
Location: Franklin County Baptist Association Gymnasium (Located on Hwy 47, about 2.5 miles south of Hwy 50)
This training will be a multi-purpose event designed to educate on the structure and purpose of government as well as practical ways in which we as citizens can be involved.
Topics will include:
1) Functions of various political offices.
2) Election cycles and term limits.
3) Starting a local organization.
4) Using social networking to reach out to friends and acquaintances.
5) Using the local media.
6) Practical areas of activism and involvement.
The training is being co-sponsored by several area groups including Show Me Patriots, Eureka Tea Party and I Heard the People Say. Please register here to ensure that we have adequate seating. Although there is no charge for attending, we would ask that you consider a $10 donation per family to help with the costs of the event and future FCP events and functions.
You are encouraged to bring your children who are old enough to understand to the training. Out of consideration for others at the event, we would ask that you make other provisions for your very small children.

There may some, like myself, who have unavoidable conflicts for both dates. It might be a good idea, space permitting, to post a summary of the proceedings as well as any actions plans so we can keep abreast.
