TEA Party a Huge Success

What a phenomenal TEA Party on Monday! The weather, the venue, the speakers – perfect! We were disappointed that we had to start the event late, but the traffic backup would have kept hundreds of people from enjoying the entire rally. Fifteen minutes after the scheduled start time, people were still flooding in. Thank you for your patience!

Estimates of attendance range from 1300 to 3000. We will just say that the Union City Park was full of excited Americans. The disappointment of the late start was quickly forgotten when the music from the Fife and Drum began.

Every speaker was inspiring. KLPW radio, who has been a huge supporter of the Franklin County Patriots, was there broadcasting the TEA Party live for those who were not able to be at the park.

One of the most encouraging moments of the day was when the question was asked, “How many of you are at a patriotic rally like this for the first time today?” More than one third of the people present raised their hands! People are waking up!

Janet Allquist told the crowd about the support she has received for her 99 Corner Project. Starting out alone in her lawn chair with a sign that read, “One voice against socialism,” Janet now is surrounded by hundreds of patriots weekly at the corner of Hwy K and Hwy N in O’Fallon. Two hundred people signed up at the TEA Party yesterday to stand on a corner in Franklin County in support of liberty! Now that is exciting! We are working on times and locations and will have those to you very soon.

Darin, from RebootCongress.blogspot.com, took some fantastic video. If you were out of town and missed the event, you can thank Darin for the video. It is posted below as well as on our video page. We also have some great pictures on our Facebook page.

I do apologize for selling out of shirts and hats. We were on a very limited budget and were not able to have too many printed. We will start printing more immediately for those who pre-ordered. A special “Thank You” to all of you who made donations and purchased items to support the Franklin County Patriots. These events do cost money. Thank you for your help!
