“I’ll Risk My Job to Vote for Health Reform”

This is a prime example of one the the things that has gone so wrong with our great republic.  Our Senators, who were elected by the people to represent the people, have decided that it is in their best interest to tow the party line and appease a sitting president rather than to do what they were elected to do -- represent their states.

In the video above, Senator Michael Bennet from Colorado, without a second of hesitation, declared that he would risk his career to pass health care legislation.  The only way voting “yes” on this bill would cost him his job would be if he voted contrary to the will of his constituents, and they in turn voted him out in 2010.  Yet that is what he is willing to do.

Members of Congress realize the difficulty in repealing a bill such as this, even with a Conservative majority in both the Senate and the House.  This is why they are willing to put their careers on the line in order to advance socialism.

No matter what happens in the coming weeks and months, we must continue to fight until our republic is restored.
