Tea Party Groups Have NOT Endorsed Roy Blunt

Like most Tea Party groups, we do not endorse candidates, but we are united on principles of smaller government, fiscal responsibility and representative accountability.  Though members of Patriot groups around the state may not support the same candidate for the United States Senate primary, the vast majority do not support Roy Blunt in that race.

Roy Blunt, like other RINOs, wants to be associated with the Tea Parties for his own political advantage.  However, his record of voting for Cash for Clunkers, the TARP bailout, No Child Left Behind and other unconstitutional legislation does not reflect the conservative values of Tea Party Patriots.  In addition, Roy Blunt’s association with Washington D.C. lobbyists has earned him a reputation of being one the largest recipients of lobbyist support, including Fannie and Freddie.

We have been surprised and disappointed to learn that Michele Bachman is scheduled to attend a fundraiser for Roy Blunt this Saturday, July 31, in St. Louis.  Because we consider this to be very a very dishonest hijacking of the Tea Party name, and damaging to the Tea Party reputation and progress, we are planning a protest at the event.  The purpose of the protest is to say to Missourians and the media, that Roy Blunt is not endorsed by the Tea Party groups of Missouri and does not reflect the core values that unite us.

Please take a moment to read this press release signed by 28 (and counting) Missouri Patriot groups.

More details of the event will be coming very soon, but we will meet around noon.  Patriot Groups from across the state are encouraged to join us in St. Louis to let Michele Bachmann and the Republican Party know that the principle does matter.

This press release strikes me as counterproductive. Michelle Bachmann never claimed to represent you or any other Missouri Tea Party group with her endorsement, and I’m not sure why you’re insinuating that she did. Furthermore, after Blunt wins the primary in a cakewalk, Bachmann will have built up chips with him and you will have earned his wrath.

Backing a candidate who’s a prohibitive favorite (or at least not angering them) is Politics 101. There’s a reason professional politicians tend to win elections and amateurs like you sit around and complain. With stunts like this, I have to conclude that you’re not actually interested in winning elections or helping those that do.

voting for the winner or the lesser of two evils show just how low your integrity is

That what moron voters have always done and guess what you get. A legislator with no integrity. And everyone wonders why this country is so screwed up.

Go play in the sand box with your other conservatives (in name only)

Some of you have apparently forgotten Bachmann’s “tirade” at law and order Conservatives last year who she and Palin see as “in the way” of the GOP becoming a powerful force again. While Bachmann talks tough on tax issues, etc., she’s not a strong anti-Invasion Conservative. I would classify her as a faux Conservative. She needs to be grilled on her immigration positions so that voters and activists can find out where she really stands on the issue.

Dave Levine thanks for your post as I have to do some more checking into Bachman’s voting record. (I do believe “Mark Levin” would be proud of your post)

Conservative Advisor — how dare you use this pseudonym that belongs to such as me. You do not exhibit the verbiage that is required of a Conservative Advisor such as me and those in the Franklin County Patriots and the tea party.

I think we in Missouri and across the nation are being bamboozled by the GOP, CPAC, RNC and the likes of Bachman, Palin, Gingrich, Glenn Beck and many others! In fact, much the same way the sheople were bamboozled into voting for Fraud Obama! I also believe that the only reason a “3rd Party Candidate Cannot Win” is because We The Sheople are brainwashed into believing that hog wash! I simply appears true because it manifest itself into reality out of fear! All of the rhetoric from not only the pundants, politicians, media and even our fellow citizen sheople leading up until election makes weak minded people with no principle to default to DEM or REP at the last moment, when they pull that lever. Then of course after the results are in all of the rhetoric starts back up about how all of those STUPID INDEPENDANTS caused either the DEM or the REP to win!

IT’S A BUNCH OF BULL! VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE PEOPLE!

Has anyone even seen this latest poll:

I just knew that all of these polls I’ve been seeing and all the press, not even mentioning Purgason’s name at all usually, were wrong! Wake Up Sheople!

Stupid is as stupid does! Doing the same thing over and over while achieving the same negative results is insanity! Vote GOP, achieve a “GOP MAJORITY” so that we can take back our country…. MY ASS! A vote for a RINO is a vote for PROGRESSIVISM! PERIOD!

The tea party event on Watson Road was very well attended, good signs, flags, etc and a lot of cars honking in support, along with a few negative ones who did not support. The news media was there and it probably will be on toight’s news.

However I was greatly shocked at the demeanor of a young “tea party person”" — earlier I and a few others went to walk in front of the GOP headquarters, and were turned away by a security guard who said we couldn’t demonstrate there I questioned him who gave the order, the owner of the building or the Blunt people inside. He was not sure and called for a superior who never did show up.

I stood aroung longer than the others who left on a corner near the GOP with a Purgason sign, when the aforementioned young man (who later on wore a cameo hat) tall with a white T-shirt (with writing on the back)and black trousers came up to me and said I had to get the (expletive) away from there as the tea party didn’t want trouble. I assured him I was not creating a problme and that I did not appreciate his language.

He again cursed with that filthy word and again I told him not to use at me or to me. He then proceeded to call me various other profane words and I vocally told him to stop, he then threatened me (“I hate to put you down”) perhaps he could have as I am 76 and not as tall as him, but I don’t back away. The tea party and FCP do not need such as this 22-23 year old giving the group a bad name with his filthy mouth.

Knowing I had a right to walk in front of the GOP, I left the signs and walked back down by myself. I introduced my self to the guard and to another guard and they gave me their names, and were cordial. We discussed the legal issues of walking there, etc. I asked if they would mind if I just walked inside and at first they said if I wanted to man the phones I could, (I could not do that for Blunt) so they asked a member of the Blunt group and she said I could not go in the building. I sid it was a public building and why could I not enter. I could have forced this issue but I decided not to.

Why do I write this long post — because of the filthy mouthed young man, who threatend a 76 yr old who did not say one word to him until he started using that most profane word. I don’t allow it around me.

In closing and though I will pray for this person, the tea party does not need him, nor does the Purgason campaign. We are judged by our words and this is one of many reaons why true Christian Conservatives have a hard times getting elected. But this is the year!
