Based on some of the debates I’ve had on facebook, some will never wake up even as their head sinks below the waterline as the ship sinks.
Speaking of sinking below the water line, get a copy of the National Geographic film on DVD called “Six Degrees Could Change the World.” Hawaii’s beaches are disappearing, ,,,,, oh, never mind. I know you guys don’t “believe” scientists.
I have noticed a lot of foriegn cars at the tea party rallys does that mean you do not mind sending your money to foriegn Countries. What are you people thinking
Hi Jeddiah enjoyed AMEN one thing God has given us a comandment to keep the Sabath, which by His word Saturday the 7th day to rest and give thanks. so we are really blessed to have the opp. to give thanks and rest from our labors as He did. Have a great day Jeddiah Ed & Jean
I have a suggestion. Lots of Kenneth Gladney signs and posters. SEIU needs to be held accountable for what they did to him in St. Louis. Don’t let this story become buried.
It was a great day and a lot of fun trying to keep in line with the rest of the cars on the way to St. Louis. There were some great speakers and a lot of good common sense information given. The crowd was great, very diverse, no crazies or Union Thugs trying to disrupt the TEA Party. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!!!!!
There is a similar billboard on I 70 on the north side a few miles east of Kansas City. You can see it if you are traveling eastbound.
What a great sign, tons of people go past it daily..More people will get interested in helping to save our government. So many don’t realize there is a movement to do so, they want to do something but think what can one person do. They can join with us to fight the good fight
This is great and so is the website. Your group has done wonders in getting it together. Thank You so much for being part of the effort to take back America.
All I can say is awesome read. After this post I went to the Political Christian website and read We Are At War. It was just as good.
Thanks FCP
God Bless
This is a cool interactive map of parking around the capitol building.

Here’s the side(s) I’m on:
1. Equal Justice for All (I saw that written somewhere) which includes rich and poor, gay and straight, man and woman, all races, renters and homeowners (why the mortgage interest deduction?, and more segments than I can remember just now
2. The individual over any organization, be it a union, a corporation, The Sierra Club, The Tea Party, even SPEBSQSA (know who they are?) Only individuals should contribute to campaigns; organizational contributions conceal identities.
3. Voluntary, not forced transfer of wealth (what’s the difference between theft and tax-and-spend?)
4. States Rights (a phrase dishonored by those who used it in contravention of item 1, above, but still exactly what the Constitution says)
5. Taxing consumption but not the earnings of either labor or investment
6. Recognizing that Jefferson meant all were equal in God’s eyes, but at the same time all are unique, and that not even equality of opportunity is guaranteed; in fact, our freedom to provide for our children means opportunity will not be equal, but I do believe that government should have no role in supressing that providing act (no estate tax)
7. That government, in its own interest, should exempt from taxation those things which contribute to productivity, and chief among them are health care, education and investment. A growth in productivity means a bigger tax base for essential services.
8. As above, all government economic polcy should be about creating, not distributing wealth.
Pastor Tom,
I like your reference to the the prophet’s question: “How long halt ye between two opinions?”
Today, we only have to wait for election day to find out the answer.
Most times, I don’t know how to the question “whose side to you fall on” because of the lack of viable choices at the voting booth.
I use the term “viable” because there’s a reality that someone will win, and the winner will make life and death choices for our society for today and tomorrow.
But then, maybe it’s wrong for me to see election day as the day we find out where people stand. Maybe we decide where we stand daily and within all big AND little decisions we make.
Do we want to be a free people? Or do we like the comforts of government regulation and programs so much that we that we don’t mind the chains? Or maybe we don’t feel them at all?
Whose side are we on? It’s a daily decision.

My wake up was the out of control spending and wars waged by bush, I seem to remember his campaign in 2000 having something to do with a more humble foreign policy and small government, fiscal responsibility and all that. Clinton burned me on Democrats, Bush burned me on Republicans, so now I’m just a Patriot. Oh, to answer the guy about the AGW scam, I don’t listen to government funded scientists because they’re lying about AGW go read the Emails.
I am on the side of
1. upholding the Constitution.
2. ending unnecessary wars
3. shutting down the federal reserve
4. restoring honest money in the form of precious metals
5. federal power being rolled back to constitutional limits
6. states rights
7. eliminating income tax
8. disbanding the EPA, DEA, FBI, CIA, and BATFE
9. Private Property Rights
10. Securing the rights of unborn children
11. Parental Rights
12. Marijuana Decriminalization for Adult consumption
13. real open transparent government
14. Mandatory term limits
15. repeal of corporate personhood
16. trade tariffs to protect US markets
17. NO MORE FREE TRADE!
18. NO MORE FOREIGN AID!
19. Securing the borders
20. getting out of the UN, WTO, and NATO
Amending the Constitution to
1. require treaties to be ratified by the House as well as the Senate
2. have automatic sunsets of all federal laws after 10 years
3. require a balanced budget
4. require a declaration of war by the congress, before the president can mobilize the military beyond US borders and waters
5. add posse comatatus as an amendment
6. require sponsors of Congressional bills to read their legislation before the Congress verbatim in one sitting before it can be considered in committee.
7. Require Congressmen and Senators to be physically in the chamber during bill readings (sickness and family emergencies withstanding) or lose their seat.
8. have a federal recall process for the people to remove any appointed judge, cabinet member, Senator, representative and president
Yeah, it’s a big list, but I love liberty, and the only way I see to secure it is to tie the hands of the government.
Some folks may not like my position on marijuana, but I ask them to look at alcohol prohibition and apply the same lessons. Let the states regulate it as they see fit, like alcohol.
The most important safeguards have to be codified in the Constitution itself. Too many folks in past years complained about the government being deadlocked, they failed to realize that deadlock was the safe guard, we see now what happens when Congress moves too fast.
Good luck to you! You don’t need to pick a side… just pick the right candidate. If you want to pick on a local issue… check into your county assessors office and the Tax Commission problems. As you probably know… Franklin County has it’s share of unfair real estate assessments. The local level is the only place that will be fixed… just check out the decisions made by the Missouri State Tax Commission against Franklin County residents. It’s a statewide problem but with 66% of the taxes going to the school system… don’t expect a politician to buck the system without some local incentives…
I’ve always been a little disturbed by this concept of “don’t discuss religion or politics in polite company”. This pathological avoidance of hurt feelings is far more dangerous than damaged egos in my estimation. Putting feelings on an inviolable pedestal has reduced honest open political discussion to a lot of choir preaching. More so it has encouraged discussions between different camps to devolve into a verbal coup counting session, not for the purpose of exploring ideas, but to win a contest of will.
I think this paradigm has been encouraged by the corporate media, which ever way the pundit sways, specifically to keep Americans divided on political lines. Derogatory terms by both major political camps to describe their opposition in a dehumanizing light, keeps their own support base on the reservation, and discourages them from embracing values and ideas from the other.
As far as the internet, and social media goes, I liken it to a journalistic “Swiss Army”. Switzerland has a very small standing army that exists to maintain a certain level of military training amongst the population. The military might of the Swiss comes from the citizen militia, each and every able bodied citizen is issued arms by the state, by law. The whole of the people are the Army. A system we used to employ here in the US in the days before Empire. As in Switzerland, the US foreign policy was one of none intervention. Like Switzerland, the US had little need of a large expensive standing Army because of this. I digress, like the concept of a militia where the whole of the people provide for national defense by keeping and bearing arms, so this new technology lets the whole people inform each other. A modest computer system, complete with internet acess, inkjet printer and digital camera, is the equivalent of issuing every American with a printing press, television and radio station. We the people now have an ability in past generations to collect and distribute news that only large corporations enjoyed, without the teams of reporters, producers and editors that act as gatekeepers and opinion manipulators.
It is no accident that the rise of the Internet, has lead to the decline of newspaper, and TV reporting. It is also no accident that this phenomenon is causing the Federal Government and United Nations to have sleepless nights, or their new emphasis on licensing internet users, as well as their repeated claims in the mainstream propaganda outlets, that the internet is full of “bad information”.
The Federal Government violated the First amendment long ago by using the FCC to license broadcasters to use the “public airwaves”. A system devised to keep the public from using the airwaves freely for many decades. Let us be wary, and vigilant of the Government and their cohorts at the UN calling for internet licenses. They use the same tired old “for the children” and “public safety” arguments we are all too familiar with concerning gun control. Net nuetrality and free unfettered access is of utmost importance. Our right to speak freely is just as important as our right to keep and bare arms.
To put it bluntly, issuing licenses for using the internet, is like issuing licenses to speak in a public place, another fiat control of liberty that has been taking hold. It is also as dangerous as licensing pistols and rifles. The schemes go hand in hand nicely too.
I have been using sites such as facebook and myspace for a few years now to inform friends and family. Facebook more recently as it seems to be more popular. I think I may have hurt some feelings among many of my friends, and possibly made a few think I’m a little off balance. That’s just fine with me. I’d rather be mildly offensive, than willfully complicit in wasting a precious tool by playing silly games and ignoring the elephant in the corner. Personally I think my friends that are more concerned with farkle chips, farmville, and what type of food they’re eating right now rather than what their government is up to are the ones who are off balance.
Guys, if you think Newt is a Constitutional Conservative, think again:

Speaking of social media, Is the forum here going to come back?
Reading the Book right now. Fantastic. Hope to make it to the classes. This is what it is all about ,Educating. thanks .Lynn
I sure appreciate your posting this… this is a biggee folks, while the politics of healthcontrol and cap & tax affects how we will be able to live our lives, but this one affects what lives our kids will have left to live. This Race To The Top program is nothing less than a method for taking the ideas of the likes of Cass Sunstein, Arne Duncan and the worst PC notions out there, and importing them directly into your child’s minds with no control or say by you or your community.
I’ve put up a post on it as well, with links to a Pajamas Media article on it, and a couple others as well.
Go to the Townhall’s, talk to your friends and and sound off to your school boards, state Rep’s, etc.
It reminds me of Communist countries, like the old Soviet Union and China, where they box the children into groups the State believes they should be in or if their is a shortage in a certain field put them there. (You are going to be a gymnist, you a laborer etc.) The other thing they have been doing in certain schools is revising the curriculum where the schools are no longer going to be teaching history from our founding fathers, the Constitution the revolution, instead they want to start in 1890’s forward. Districts in North Carolina and Kansas are pushing for this agenda, but they are probably doing it throughout the country. Also Obama is looking for interns from high school children for Organizing for America to push his Propaganda.Saul Alinski,Rules for Radicals is suggested reading. Can you say INDOCTRINATION. Parents need to wake up.
No Newt for President
Sean Hannity says the country needs to elect true Ronald Reagan conservatives to office. Then he talks about Newt Gingrich running for President. I do not understand the contradiction, because Newt is not a true Reagan conservative.
Newt says the United States is a center right country and the tea party movement shows the American people are not happy with Washington. Newt, tell us something we don’t already know. The American people are waking up to the radical agenda of the Obama administration and the Democrats/Statists. Common Sense Conservatism is rising again and the Statists day is coming in November.
Bob Dole/Dull said it was his turn to run for President and we got 4 more years of the rapist Bill Clinton. Then it was John McCain’s “turn” and we ended up with Barack Hussein Obama.
The following observations and questions are the reason I do not believe Newt Gingrich is a real common sense Reagan conservative Republican espoused by Hannity.
Gary Gill was running against Missouri’s 3rd District Democrat Representative Dick Gephardt and he was leading in the polls until Newt praised Gephardt. Gill ended up losing the election.
Newt made the Contract with America that helped the Republicans win the US House in 1994.
What did the Republicans do after they won the US House in 1994? They did not follow through on the contract.
In 2005 he teamed up with Hillary Clinton on National Healthcare and claimed she would be a formidable candidate for President. He did a Climate Change commercial with Pelosi and teamed up with Sharpton on education.
Newt backed Dede Scozzafava, another RINO, in the New York Congressional race.
Newt was on Greta and commented to her, “You strengthen yourself by attracting more people than by driving them away,” implying that you must compromise your conservative principles in order to expand the party. I believe you stand on conservative principles & let the people come to you.
Above all, he stated the Era of Reagan Conservatism is over.
He is positioning himself to run for President as a middle of the roader, and is being too cute and disingenuous when he was asked about recent trips to Iowa and New Hampshire and gives an evasive answer. Newt is out for Newt. He is not a true conservative and this country does not need him as President. Before Hannity lends too much support to Newt, he should have him explain his reasoning for his actions.
Greg Zotta
I heard about this on the the Doctor Tobler’s show yesterday morning.
This is a great step to insure that Missouri people have a chance to stand against the government control that is just waiting to suck in the politically challenged and the entitlement needy. Little do they know that this bill will protect them too.
Hats off to all that have made this possible. Keep up the great work and I am sending this to all IL. T.E.A. and these new conservative candidates so they can see that action can work. It is better than just eating what the corrupt IL government and the DC clan offers.
I hope Missouri will stay away from this Race to the Top program. It does nothing for education, costs taxpayers, and comes with very undesirable strings from the federal government. The more federal money and intervention from the government, the less children actually learn. Go back to teaching reading, writing, history, (not the revised versions being taught in some schools), and math. Leave the social issues out and put morals back in and a “miracle will happen.
Great Article.Thank You.
Update!!
We want a great turn out for Congressman Akin’s event in the morning, but we absolutely must have a respectable turnout in the evening. I know this is a lot of stuff at once, but we won’t have many chances to present our grievances to the President on our soil.
Please Remember
9:45 a.m. Congressman Akin’s rally at St. Charles Convention Center
5:00 p.m. Muster for the street theatre protest in lot at 9th between Lucas and Delmar
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.: Traditional street protest of this President, the Carnies, and Claire.
7:00 p.m.: Get out of there. Leave in groups of three or more. Do not be the last one. Be aware of your surroundings and who’s near you.
All Time: Obey the police and Secret Service. Have a trusted buddy with you. Keep an eye on your camcorder. Do not bring valuables. Avoid direct confrontations with the other side.
I must forward this, it is so informing. Thank You.
Used to think Starbucks was a little leftist and pretentious. I have a little more respect for them now and will make it a point to buy a cup of their over priced coffee the next time I pass one.
The Constitution proscribes an enumeration of the people for determining Congressional seats, nothing more. I’m going to tell them only what they need to know. How many people live in my house. Every other question they ask is superfluous to the purpose of the census. BTW those advanced letters cost the American people 85 million dollars and used 23,000 trees worth of paper just to say “the census guy is coming” No wonder we have such a huge deficit.
A ‘yes’ vote will amend the Constitution of the State of Missouri to
7 eliminate individual and corporate income tax, and state sales and use tax and
8 to enact a single, revenue-neutral sales tax of five and eleven one-hundredths
9 percent on new purchases of goods and services, and to exempt property
10 purchased for business or investment from the sales tax, and to provide each
11 qualified family with a sales tax rebate to ensure no state sales tax is paid on
12 purchases up to the federal poverty level.
And how are they going to rebate my sales tax if I’m poor? I’m guessing that the state will have to promulgate rules and regulations to track everyone’s purchases. Uh, no thanks! Not to mention that “property purchased for business use” will not be subject to sales tax. The way this lay man interprets this is that Big business will get a pass on real estate and vehicles that average joes won’t, while having to pay 5.11% more for everything while having the state effectively spy on every single purchase we make at retail businesses. In this form my vote will be a resounding NO!
First of all, my reading of the Constitution is there needs to be a count of the people in your household for representation in the government. Their is no reason for them to ask how many bathrooms etc. Then there is the problem of gerrymandering the districts for false representation.Another problem I have is the millions being spent on advertising and now they are spending millions more on mailings telling you that you will be receiving the Census in the mail. That’s a WASTE of money. When I called them on it I was told that there was a study done and by sending out the pre-census letter there is a better response. I forgot to ask how much was that study. If the students were being taught proper history and the reason for the census there may not be a need for the added expense.
